B. ARCH | M. ARCH | HMONP
Amélie joined Lett Architects in the spring of 2018 after relocating from Toronto. Native to France, Amélie has studied and practiced architecture throughout Europe; Hamburg, Lisbon, Lausanne, Barcelona, Rome and Nantes, graduating with a Master of Architecture from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture Paris-Val-de-Seine in 2008.
With a strong interest in social justice issues, Amélie worked as an architect in Paris on multiple social housing projects. These projects reinforced her vision that Architecture should be livable and empower the lives of those who inhabit the spaces we create.
Amélie moved to Ontario in 2012, working mainly in Toronto she enriched her experience in sustainable building design and sacred spaces. She furthered her commitment to sustainable building practices by getting her hands dirty assisting in the construction of several straw-bale buildings in the Northumberland area.
Amélie harmonizes strong design and practicality; her European aesthetic ever present.
When not at the studio Amélie is constantly acquiring new skills: leather work, sewing, felting, cobbling, kitting to name a few. She also loves spending time outdoors and on the water with her family.
