Architect – Team Manager

Scott holds a life-long passion for design and construction and has more than 25 years of professional architectural experience. A Nova Scotia native, he studied in Halifax and practiced design there in various capacities as well as teaching opportunities at both Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Community College. He moved to Ontario in 2009 and worked in architecture offices in Peterborough and Amherst, Massachusetts, until 2017 when he joined the Lett team.

Scott’s expertise lies in the development of construction details and translating design intentions to buildable solutions. At Lett Architects he is responsible for managing technical staff in developing solutions for projects and assisting the design team to ensure technical proficiency.

Scott is committed to environmental and social justice issues. As co-founder of Peterborough’s first cohousing village, Kawartha Commons, he is passionate about community building. Another outlet for community is the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough, where Scott has served in various leadership roles. For recreation he seeks out Ontario’s fresh water, enjoying back country canoe camping and rowing on the Otonabee River through the Peterborough Rowing Club.
