
Scott holds a life-long passion for building design and construction and has more than 25 years of professional architectural experience. A Nova Scotia native, Scott studied and practiced designed in Halifax and taught Dalhousie University and Nova Scotia Community College. He moved to Ontario in 2009 and worked in architecture offices in Peterborough and Amherst, Massachusetts until 2017 when he joined the Lett team.
Scott’s expertise lies in the development of construction detailing that translates design intent to buildable solutions. As the director of technical standards, he is responsible for quality control. He provides oversight to technical staff in developing construction documents and spec’s and ensures deliverables meet studio standards for energy efficient and high-performance compliance.
Scott is committed to environmental and social justice issues. He is active in Peterborough’s cohousing movement and serves the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough in various capacities.
He appreciates Ontario’s abundant freshwater lakes, where he enjoys backcountry canoeing and camping and rowing on the Otonabee River and Trent Canal.
