Ailan is a thoughtful and compassionate designer and focuses her attention on the high level of functionality in her designs. She has brought to the Lett team a distinct level of discipline in her comprehension of flow of space and client need.
Since graduating from the University of Waterloo Master’s program in 2003, Ailan has continued to develop her strong interest in sensible and sustainable design. She has worked and studied in such places as Toronto, Ottawa, Edmonton, New York, Rome, and Brisbane. With nearly two decade of experience in healthcare and institutional design she easily manages the complexity of programming in such projects. Her experience extends from Family Health Teams, through Community Health Centres, Hospitals, Long-term Care facilities, and Residential Care facilities. Currently, she is managing six community health centre projects amongst other healthcare projects in the Studio.
Ailan joined the Lett Architects team in the spring of 2008 and she has managed and designed the healthcare projects in the capacity of Project Architect. When not in the studio, she supports her children’s interest in sport and the arts and sometimes sneaks in time on the piano or the soccer pitch.
